Mountain View Lodge offers one of the
most spectacular views in the Texas Hill Country. Your Wimberley
lodging destination is nestled on 5-1/2 acres on top of a hill
overlooking the Blanco River Valley. You and your family can
spend time hiking, bird-watching, relaxing on the deck by the
pool, or cooking on a grill in the picnic area.
Our Nature Trail encompasses the
property and features a dinosaur track made by an Allosaurus
that existed during the latter part of the Jurassic period. A
trail guide, which can be found in each room, helps guests
identify many native plants, flowers, and grasses.
Feeders attract birds such as the Scott's
oriole and painted bunting. Ruby-throated and black-chinned
hummingbirds are abundant during the summer and the rufous
hummers from the Northwest often winter with us
Returning guests tell us they have
referred many of their friends to our lodge because of its peace
and beauty and the friendliness of our staff. Enjoy chatting
with our managers in the office as you pour your complimentary
coffee and indulge in pastries to take back to your room or to
any of the decks.
